The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County (ELCMC) offers SMS/text message services to communicate important information regarding child care services, enrollment, deadlines, emergency alerts, event reminders, and other updates related to early education programs.
By opting in to receive text messages from ELCMC, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Program Description
ELCMC text messaging services provide informational and service-related messages. These may include:
- Appointment reminders
- Send important updates or service-related communications.
- Provide information related to ELCMC or community programs and events.
- ELCMC program enrollment and eligibility information
- Emergency notifications (e.g., weather closures)
- Surveys or feedback requests
Message frequency may vary depending on your participation in our programs.
- Opt-In
You may opt in by:
Checking the SMS/text message consent box during the application or intake process, or
Providing verbal or written consent to an ELCMC staff member.
- Opt-Out
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by texting STOP to the number you received the message from or contact us directly at the information provided in number four to request removal from our messaging list. You will receive a one-time confirmation message of your opt-out. After this, you will no longer receive text messages unless you opt in again.

- Message Delivery
Text message delivery is subject to your mobile carrier’s network availability. ELCMC is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, and the legal guardian or parent of a child served by ELCMC programs, or an authorized program participant, to use this service.
- Changes to Terms
ELCMC may revise these SMS Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and are effective immediately upon posting.
