SPOT ON

Kindergarten readiness is more than counting 1,2,3, singing your ABCs, or identifying colors and shapes...

Kindergarten readiness is essential as it sets the stage for future academic success. Part of helping every child to be prepared is prioritizing the full scope of a child's unique developmental needs, especially as it relates to underlying disabilities, learning differences, or developmental delays.

From the 2024-2025 Kindergarten Readiness Report from the Florida Chamber Foundation's Business Alliance for Early Learning, only 43% of children are ready for kindergarten. Our Spot On program is designed to support students by addressing communication, self-regulation, and functional skill deficits that may interfere with their progress in the early learning environment. We bring licensed therapists directly into child care centers to provide early intervention, giving children the skills they need to succeed while equipping teachers with tools that benefit every student in the classroom.

Why Spot On Matters

The early years are a critical window. Birth to age five is when the brain is most flexible. Early intervention helps children build essential skills—language, communication, self-regulation—that last a lifetime.

Children thrive with support. Early therapy reduces frustration and behavior challenges, helping kids feel happier, healthier, and ready for school.

Teachers and families benefit too. Spot On gives teachers practical strategies for calming, connecting, and communicating with children. Parents gain peace of mind knowing their child is receiving help early, instead of waiting years for services.

Impact in Classrooms

Therapists work in the classroom alongside teachers and children, so every child benefits. Teachers learn new strategies they can keep using, and children receive help in the environment where they learn best.

Teacher Testimonies

"Out of 5 stars, it’s a 12. Our therapist has been so understanding with families, parents, teachers, and children. She’s helped me use new strategies to bridge the gap, especially helping kids articulate their words. I’ve been teaching VPK for 15 years, and this has been one of the most supportive programs I’ve worked with." – VPK Teacher

"Having the therapist in the classrooms with the teachers is priceless. The Calming Corners, breathing exercises, and other techniques help re-center a child that is struggling." – Child Care Director

"One child with significant behavioral issues has calmed down so much and is following directions. The strategies we’ve learned have made the classroom flow better for everyone." – Early Childhood Educator
